Biography

Emily Dougherty is a University of Central Florida alumna with a degree in Journalism. She has a strong passion for writing and storytelling and enjoys working with faculty, students, and staff to share their remarkable stories.

Before joining the College of Sciences, Emily wrote for local publications covering breaking news, local events, and notable Central Florida and Knight community members. During her time as a UCF student, she joined journalistic extracurriculars and was a member of the Society of Professional Journalists.

When she’s not writing stories, Emily enjoys going to theme parks, concerts, and local coffee shops.
