Biography

A nearly four-decade veteran of the strategic communications industry, Gwen Griffin is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Griffin Communications Group. She launched the firm in 1997, and since then, has grown it to become a powerhouse with an undeniable reputation in the aerospace and STEM education industries. Some of the most recognized brands in the world have trusted her and her team with their strategic communications campaigns and programs, including ─ NASA, Blue Origin, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, NASA-Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Conrad Foundation, Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, Aldrin Family Foundation, Universal Pictures, LEGO, Sprint PCS and many more. Earlier in her career, Gwen held positions such as Director of Marketing for NASA-Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Public Relations/Promotions Manager for Space Center Houston and Area Marketing Manager for Southwest Airlines. Gwen focuses her volunteer time supporting workforce development and STEM education outreach. She serves on the executive committees of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education and Conrad Foundation, as well as the board of directors for Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and Space Center Houston. She most recently served as Executive Director for Blue Origin’s nonprofit education foundation, Club for the Future. Through her guidance in establishing proper governance, reporting and financial systems, she grew Club from a single-person operation to a team of four full-time staffers over a two-year time frame. Today, Club reaches nearly 4 million students, educators and parents through active engagement, events and programs.
