Biography
Jay A. Shah, MBA, LUTCF, CLTC is a financial advisor at Eagle Strategies/New York Life for over 16 years. In this role, he assists business owners and families with wealth management, planning for life events, legacy planning, retirement and achieving financial security. Additionally, he assists business owners with employee benefits plans, retirement plans and rollovers. Jay believes in educating the client prior to making any financial decisions to ensure whatever route is chosen, it will make the most impact. His approach is very methodical and prides himself on educating others on financial security to make the best decisions for their business and/or family. The past two years, Jay has been featured in Forbes Magazine as one of the top advisors in the county.
Jay earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida, graduating at the top 15% of his class. He then completed his Master’s in Business Administration, specializing in Finance there as well. Prior to working as a financial advisor, he was an electrical engineer where he designed multiple projects in the Central Florida area. His projects included working on the 408, Starbucks, ALF, multi-story buildings and medical plazas. As a fun fact, Jay was working on a project in Tracy McGrady’s home, before he was traded.
He was appointed as Chairman to the Small Business Resource Network in 2013. He is a Board of Director with the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Central Florida Estate Planning Counsel, AAHOA, AAPI, Gujarati Society of Central Florida and past president for the Indian American Chamber of Commerce.
Jay currently resides in Central Florida with his wife Christina, and two kids, Divya and Niam. He loves to watch football, try new restaurants and discover new wines and whiskeys. He loves to travel and immerse himself with different cultures and history. When he is not working or attending events, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
