Biography

Julianne Joy Brugger serves as Administrative Assistant III for the College of Sciences and the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. She plays an integral role in handling backend administrative support and outreach coordination that propels the colleges’ strategic plans, research projects, and overall student success forward.

In the Fall of 2020, Julianne earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications with a focus in Multimedia Production from the University of North Florida. She worked on campus throughout her time as a student, accepting a role as a Technical Assistant for the Student Union, and a Studio Assistant for the School of Communications. Offering first-hand assistance to fellow students, and watching growth sprout from this kindness, sparked a new interest.

During the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Julianne joined the workforce as a New Producer for WCJB TV20 in Gainesville. After spending nearly two years producing local news, she realized her passion for higher education. She made her way to UCF in the summer of 2024, taking on a position as a Library Technical Assistant II in the John C. Hitt Library at the LibTech Desk.

Helpful and hardworking, Julianne finds fulfillment in making an impact on students’ lives and offering support on their journey. She is continuing her education herself, studying Higher Education and Student Personnel, to further her career within UCF as a full-fledged Knight!
