Sharing the College of Sciences’ Strategic Plan
In 2022, UCF revealed its new strategic plan, Unleashing Potential: Becoming the University for the Future. As the largest college in the university with more than 70,000 alumni and extensive connections to STEM career fields through eight departments, two schools, and a number of centers and institutes, The College of Sciences (COS) is essential to achieving that vision.
Our College-wide strategic plan was developed by the Dean’s Strategic Plan Committee, comprised of a faculty and staff across diversity of disciplines, and incorporated input from faculty and staff through a survey.
The plan is organized by three core pillars—student success, research and innovation, and community and culture—and aims to support the university-wide strategic plan and help COS achieve its mission to provide a world-class education in an environment where faculty, staff, and students thrive, research flourishes, and our community prospers while building a reputation for its commitment to discovery, rigorous experimentation, creative exploration, and accessibility.
