Research

Emeritus Professor Taylor’s primary research interest is avian biology, specifically in the areas of breeding biology, migration, populations, and vocalizations. For the past 10 years he has been studying the breeding biology of the Great Crested Flycatcher (Myiarchus crinitus) in central Florida. Utilization of man-made nest boxes by animals is a concurrent interest. Dr. Taylor is also interested in wildflowers of Florida.
