Research Areas: International Relations, Security Studies, Political Psychology, Insurgency, Terrorism
My principal research interests focus on decision-making during war, with emphasis on the effects of emotion on leaders’ bargaining behavior. I also have broad interests in political psychology insurgency, and terrorism. I have published articles in Political Psychology, International Organization, Foreign Policy Analysis, Security Studies, and International Studies Quarterly, and have forthcoming papers in the Journal of Conflict Resolution and Polity.
