Biography

Chelsea Daws (she/her/hers) earned her B.A. (2012), M.A. (2017), and Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida, where she studied cultural anthropology under Dr. Ty Matejowsky. She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at UCF. Her dissertation utilized a mixed-methods approach, integrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and ethnographic research methods to examine community and home gardens in the Metro Orlando area. Her master’s thesis focused on domestic and international student diets within a university foodscape.
