Biography

Jacqueline “Jax” Houser earned her M.A. in Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology from the University of Central Florida in Spring 2026. She previously received her B.A. in History, with minors in Florida Studies and Archaeology, from UCF in 2023.

Jax has research experience in Aerospace Archaeology and worked under the advisement of Emily Zavodny, focusing on Zooarchaeology during her graduate studies. Her thesis research examined canine domestication in the North American Southeast.

Following the completion of her degree, Jax plans to continue her research on canine domestication and is considering pursuing a Ph.D. in the field.
