Biography

Peter Mercier is a PhD Student in the Integrative Anthropological Sciences program at UCF. He is studying ancient Mesoamerican bioarchaeology. Specifically, his research is focused on occupational stress in ancient Oaxaca, Mexico. At UCF, he is using geometric morphometrics to look at how labor, such as pottery making and backstrap loom weaving, influence changes to skeletal morphology.
