NSC Scholarship Winners Announced

The Nicholson School of Communication recently announced its scholarship recipients for the 2015-16 academic year.

14 winners were chosen based on their classroom and community achievements.file22535

Danielle Hendrix, a journalism major, received the Anthony Reid Nicholson Endowed Scholarship.

James Rowland, a graduate student in the Nicholson School of Communication, received the Buhr Graduate Fellowship in Research scholarship.

Taylor Moore, an advertising/public relations major, received the Darden Restaurants, Inc. Communication Scholarship.

Heidi Bolduc, a graduate student in the Nicholson School of Communication, received the Derek Sutton Endowed Scholarship.

The Dr. Fred Fedler Scholarship went to journalism major Daniela Marin.

Two students received the FPRA Dr. Bob Davis Endowed Scholarship. They are Amanda Barrack, an advertising-public relations major, and Danielle Hendrix, a journalism major.

Advertising- public relations major Kristie Golembioski was awarded with the Frank R. Stansberry Scholarship.

Tia Masek, a human communication major, received the Gerow-May Scholarship.

The Irene Ferrell Pynn Memorial Scholarship went to Lisa Kauffman, a broadcast journalism major.

Amy Covel, a human communication major, received the Rena Smith Endowed Scholarship.

The Risa Saslow Nicholson Endowed Scholarship went to Alfredo Salkeld, an advertising-public relations major.

Lisa Kauffman, a broadcast journalism major, got the Rona Sutton Endowed Scholarship.

Amy Maitner, an advertising-public relations major, received the Sonja Rose Nicholson Endowed Scholarship.

The award recipients will be honored during the College of Sciences Scholarship Luncheon on September 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Fairwinds Alumni Center.
