Scholarship Deadline Extended to March 31

Deadline for the William K. Grasty Memorial Scholarship Extended to  March 31, 2014 – Midnight

(for Nicholson School of Communication students)

Dr. William K. Grasty Memorial Scholarship

One $500 award to a UCF student with junior (60-89 credit hours) or senior (90+ credit hours) class standing in the Nicholson School of Communication in fall 2014.

Selection Criteria:

a) Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 AND

b) Have junior (60-89 credit hours) or senior (90+ credit hours) class standing as of fall 2014 AND

c) Be enrolled in the Nicholson School of Communication at UCF AND

d) Possess exemplary characteristics in academic achievement, community involvement AND/OR work experience

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Essay Question: One page. Please include a word count total.

Please submit a one-page marketing/communications concept or idea that will increase alumni engagement. This concept should be a complete description of the idea presented on a single, typewritten page.

Future Goals Personal Statement: Maximum 150 words in SMART goal format (SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely).

Recommendation Format Required: Recommendation Form

Academic Verification Format Required: Degree Audit

Other Supporting Documents Needed: Activities Summary

Applications are now available on myUCF.  Apply for scholarships based on eligibility* by following these simple steps:

1. Read all scholarship criteria and complete ALL required supporting documents prior to submitting your application
2. Log into myUCF
3. Select “Student Self Service”
4. Click on “Scholarship Application” > “Home Page” > “Add New Scholarship”
5. Complete and submit application(s)

*Scholarships will ONLY appear your myUCF if you meet the basic scholarship criteria based on eligibility requirements specific to each scholarship. Criteria used to determine eligibility includes, but is not limited to: overall GPA, class standing and academic program.

Again, the deadline to apply is midnight, Saturday, March 31, 2014. Be sure to request your recommendations before you leave for spring break and get all of your supporting documents ready before you submit your application. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
