Hello UCF Faculty Researchers,
This is a friendly reminder about the Office of Research’s Grant Writing Academy which is being offered in the Fall semester.
The program’s intent is to help participants craft compelling multidisciplinary research proposals to secure external federal funding. Participants are expected to be familiar with funding agencies, grant writing mechanisms, and could also have prior proposal writing experience.
The hands-on, interactive program will offer proposal development, mentoring, and engagement activities to faculty researchers through 15 two-hour in-person weekly sessions held on the main UCF campus starting in August 2025.
Important Information:
- Applications are being accepted in the InfoReady portal.
- Participation in the Academy is by self-nomination (any UCF faculty researcher can apply).
- However, all applicants must have their applications endorsed by their Associate Dean for Research AND their Department Chair, or equivalent prior to submitting the application – the ADR or Chair does not have to do anything in the InfoReady application. A copy/screenshot of the email approvals can be provided by applicant in the InfoReady application.
- The accepted Academy cohort will be limited to 40 faculty.
- Faculty that are accepted to participate in the Academy will be notified by the Research Development team (submission of an application does not guarantee participation in the Academy)
