The College of Sciences will arrange for a critical Red Team Review of your proposal draft to help you identify ways to improve the proposal prior to submission to the sponsoring agency.
These reviews will provide feedback on your proposals from colleagues with knowledge of the subject matter and of the relevant funding agency. You may use this feedback as you see fit to update your proposal with the hope that it will be a more competitive proposal at the funding agency review stage.
Here are a few helpful guidelines about this new process:
|
- Submission of a proposal for a Red Team Review to COS is completely voluntary.
- You will need to submit a single request for each proposal (if you have more than one proposal).
- Because of the time and resources needed to complete a meaningful review, it is possible that we will not be able to provide a review of every proposal submitted. We will update you once your submission is reviewed.
- All PIs are encouraged to make use of this resource. Please note that priority will be given to requests from new investigators, proposals to new funding agencies, and major proposals.
- Reviewable draft proposals must be received at least two weeks prior to the COS Pre-Award 10-day deadline. Earlier submission of a proposal for review will generally enable a more thorough review to be completed and provide you with more time to respond to input from the Red Team.
- To request a Red Team Review, please complete the COS Red Team Review Request Form and send it to the COS Associate Dean of Research: josh@ucf.edu.
