The College of Sciences (COS) is dedicated to increasing sponsored awards by submitting competitive proposals which adhere to sponsor requirements and UCF policies and procedures. The COS Pre-Award Team is your first point of contact for all proposal preparation activities related to sponsored funding. The team works very closely with the Office of Research (OR) and is your liaison for submitting your competitive proposal.

Jodi Reinhart
Manager, Contracts and Grants, Pre-Award
Jodi has 15 years of experience in Research Administration. Previously she was at UCF as a Contracts and Grants Specialist for the Faculty Cluster Initiative and prior to that in both Pre and Post Award support at Iowa State University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Grand View University, Des Moines, Iowa.
Gisela Vera
Contracts and Grants Specialist, IV
Gisela started her career as a Research Administrator at UCF in 2015, working at the Office of Research and has over 15 years of experience in Pre and Post Award support to faculty in various educational institutions. She received her Associate in Science in Paralegal Studies, Litigation, from Valencia College, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Inter American University.
Coral Gean Abel
Contracts and Grants Specialist, IV
Coral has 20 years of experience in Research Administration, both in Pre and Post Award support to faculty in various not- for-profit public and private universities. Coral received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and a master’s in business administration from Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Connecticut.
Jaime Davis
Contracts and Grants Specialist, IV
Jaime worked in Pre and Post Award services at the University of South Florida from 2013 to 2024. Her areas included the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Nursing. Prior to that she was an Administrative Specialist supporting the Office of Sponsored Research and the Department of Anthropology at USF. Jaime has an A.S. in Criminology and Forensic Studies and is working on her B.A. in Criminology at USF.
Kimberly Santiago
Contracts and Grants Specialist, IV
Kimberly has experience in a variety of administrative support roles, including Pre-Award in the College of Optics and Photonics at UCF from 2022-2024. Prior to that she worked on contract support for the University of California, San Diego, and as an Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Literature and Writing Studies at California State University, San Marcos. She has a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from UCF and is working on her M.S. in Public Administration.
