Research Proposal Assistance and Development Opportunities

  1. The office of research still has openings for the Fall 2025 grant writing academy. Please contact your chair or director and ADR Josh Colwell if interested. Chairs/Directors: please suggest incoming faculty to ADR Josh Colwell and Maddy Chokshi at OR. There are also mentoring opportunities organized by OR for new faculty without grant writing experience.
  2. OR has faculty fellows providing mentorship and guidance for faculty looking for research support from NIH and DoD. Please have faculty contact ResDev@ucf.edu for this assistance.
  3. OR offers Federal Agency Pitch Circles. This is an opportunity for faculty to present research ideas to a panel of experienced faculty to get feedback.
  4. OR will be launching some new initiatives in Fall 2025 to help faculty make new collaborations and diversify their research.
  5. COS will be continuing its Interdisciplinary Seminar Series, with two seminars in Fall 2025 and three in Spring 2026. If you have suggestions for topics that cut across disciplines, please send them to ADR Josh Colwell.
