Biography

David S. Vogel is a data scientist who has earned international recognition for his predictive modeling accuracy. He is a multi-winner of the prestigious KDD Cup and the Heritage Health Prize in 2013. As the Founder and CEO of Voloridge Investment Management, LLC, an award-winning quantitative hedge fund, David has been expertly quoted in Bloomberg, Barron’s and others on charitable and financial topics.  At Voloridge, he oversees management of a multi-billion-dollar fund, consulting on diverse strategies, both quantitative and climate change driven. In 2020, Voloridge received two awards from HFM for “Best Quantitative Strategy over 1 Billion AUM” and “Best Multi-Strategy over 1 Billion AUM” as well as “Best Machine learning fund” in the first quarter of 2021.

David is Co-Founder/Trustee and Chief Scientist of VoLo Foundation, a philanthropic organization supporting data driven research and projects with a focus on climate change and health/longevity. Having spent many years as a pre-eminent voice connecting science and climate-change to raise awareness on the topic, David and VoLo Foundation’s team are widening their focus into epigenetics, gut biome, and multi-omic data analysis. Through research funding and collaborations with top scientists, David applies his data modeling expertise to assist with cutting edge research that has the potential to maximize longevity and optimize health.

Additionally, David currently serves as Board Member to Environmental Defense Fund, JUST Capital, and Amplio.  He is part of the Climate-Related Market Risk Subcommittee at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. David and VoLo Foundation proliferate their knowledge by funding climate and health initiatives and non-profit organizations. They have funded over 90 projects and impacted millions of lives around the globe.
