College of Sciences Shines at Founders’ Day

From a nanoscientist to an undergraduate biology student, the College of Sciences had many recipients recognized at the annual Founders’ Day Honors Convocation on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

Founders’ Day is a time-honored tradition where UCF faculty members, staff and students who have made significant achievements and academic contributions are recognized.

Awards were given to recognize excellence in research, teaching, professional service, outstanding theses and additional categories, along with milestone anniversaries at the university. President John C. Hitt said the accomplishments recognized at the annual convocation continue to confirm the pursuit of excellence by those at the university.

The gathering was held in the Student Union, with employees, retirees, past honorees, family and friends in attendance. A reception was held afterward.
