About the Team

Yanga R. "Yan" Fernandez

University of Central Florida, Associate Professor

Research program includes studying the physical, thermal, and structural properties of small bodies, and their evolutionary processes, through ground- and space-based multi wavelength telescopic observations.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Tom Kehoe

Florida Space Institute, University of Central Florida, Associate Scientist and Deputy PI of CLASS

Research focuses on the dynamical behavior of asteroids, dust particles, and other small bodies in planetary systems. Current projects include investigating the process of dust band formation, the evolution of regolith on asteroids and small moons, and the fine-scale resonant structure of the asteroid belt.
We set sail on this new sea because there is new knowledge to be gained, and new rights to be won, and they must be won and used for the progress of all people
