Seminar Series: Antonio Paris

On September 7th, 2016, Antonio Paris from St. Petersburg College gave a presentation entilted “The Moon: 3D”.

Summary
How was the Moon formed? Why are there so many craters on the lunar surface? Why does the nearside have more ancient lava flow than the farside? This interactive presentation, in 3D, is centered on an analysis of the lunar surface from a planetary science perspective. Topics for this program will include impact cratering, ancient lava beds, and potential landing sites for commercial exploration of helium-3 on the lunar surface.
