Biography

Alex Lewis is a Sociology PhD student on the crime and deviance track with an interest in stigma experienced by those who have been through the criminal legal system, as well as those who are in recovery from substance misuse. He received a B.S. degree in Psychology, and an M.S. degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from UCF. Alex hopes to further our understanding of stigma and how stigma impacts access to necessities such as employment and housing through mixed-methods approaches.
