Biography

Doris Stanley is a Sociology Instructor with 12 years of experience teaching various topics in Sociology. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2011 and pursued a career teaching Sociology soon after. She has taught at multiple institutions since then, in both adjunct and visiting instructor roles, including Valencia College, Seminole State College and Tallahassee Community College. She joined the University of Central Florida as a Visiting Instructor in 2018 and in August of 2024 she joined the Sociology department as a full time Instructor and member of the Undergraduate Committee. Her teaching interests are largely in Medical Sociology, Introductory Sociology, Popular Culture, Social Problems, Marriage and the Family, and Deviant behaviors.
