Waiving the UCF SPEAK requirement (for GTAs)
The UCF SPEAK requirement, which is testing requirement of all international students who will be employed into GTA assistant and GTA associate positions, can be waived if any of the following criteria are met:
- If the student has completed a previous degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university
- If the student is from a country where English is the only official language
- If the student is from a university at which English is the only official language of instruction
- If the student receives a score of 26 or higher on the Speak portion of the iBT TOEFL
